The women’s team of Lokomotiv NN won the Bulgarian Cup for the first time.
Four teams participated in the final tournament of the capital’s Diana swimming pool – Lokomotiv NN, Botev 2000, Chernomorets and Arena Burgas. The 2022 Bulgarian water polo season ended with the matches between them. A week ago, the men’s cup was lifted by KPS Varna.
In their first two meetings, both Lokomotiv NN and Botev 2000 defeated Chernomorets and Arena from Burgas. And the match between Lokomotiv NN and Botev 2000 turned into a final for the award. The team from the capital won it with 19-14, led by Vasil Nanov and Andrey Sushkov. In the match for third place, Chernomorets prevailed over Arena Burgas with 17-11
