From 15 to 17 March 2019, the “Park Arena OZK” swimming pool will host the matches of the final tournament for the Bulgarian Cup. And Lokomotiv NN begins the defense of the trophy.
The participating teams are divided into two groups, which are led by Lokomotiv NN and Chernomorets – Lokomotiv NN is the current cup holder, and Chernomorets – a finalist in the 2018 tournament. Over the past 6 years, Lokomotiv NN has won the cup 4 times.
The composition of the groups:
A – Lokomotiv NN, Aqua Sport, Slavia, KPS Varna, Ticha
B – Chernomorets, CSKA, Komodor, Cherno more, Neptun
The groups will be played according to the “everyone against everyone” system, and the winners of the two fives will face off in the title match.
The final for the trophy will be on March 17, 2019 at 5 p.m. The match will be broadcast live on BNT 3. This will be the first live broadcast of a water polo match with the participation of Bulgarian water polo players on national air in 32 years. The last time the National Television showed the European qualifier Bulgaria – Netherlands 11:7 live in 1987, played in front of 3,000 people at the Diana swimming pool in Sofia.
