And the U17 girls’ team of Lokomotiv Nikola Nanov became the champion of Bulgaria. This marked the most successful season for the club in the women’s division, after two weeks ago the women’s team of Loko NN also lifted the title. Both triumphs, achieved under the leadership of Vasil Nanov and Andrey Sushkov, are the first in history, after the club had only won championship titles in the men’s division since 2005 – a total of 35 in all ages, of which 4 for men (2013, 2017, 2018 and 2019).
In the Superfinal in Varna, the Lokomotiv NN team eliminated Botev 2000 with 13-4, and in the other semi-final, Chernomorets prevailed over KPS Varna with 22-13. In the gold medal match, the team from the capital defeated Chernomorets 22-18, and for the bronze medals, Botev 2000 won against KPs Varna 15-9.
